Early War Winter Sniper

The kit uses the original german rifleman figure. His bedsheet camo, helmet cover, and wrapping for gas mask canister and rifle were scratch built from fine cotton cloth. He is armed with a broom handled mauser pistol and G43 rifle, with a scratch built zf4 scope, from the axis weapons set. He is also equipt with a rolled shelter quarter and a rolled white sheet.

The Fuhrer

Starting with the british paratrooper figure, I used an exacto knife to "shave" the moustache down to size. The hair was repainted to a darker shade. The white shirt is a modified ken tuxedo shirt and the tie was scratch built. The great coat from the eastern front set is topped off with a repainted officers hat from the monte cassino figure.

Grenadier with Short Zeltbahn

This is the German NCO figure. Instead of letting the zeltbahn hang down in the front, the two corners are overlapped and wrapped to the sides one over the other. This required one of the fastners to be romoved and resown to the zeltbahn. He is carrying two panzer fausts and a K98 rifle, with scratch built leather sling, fitted with the grenade launcher.

Stahlingrad Grenadier

This is the KBToys exclusive grenadier figure with the white uniform reveresed to the gray side. The Y harness was added and the pleather belt was replaced with a scratch built black leather belt. The leather was stiffened with crazy glue. The grenadier is holding a grenade cluster which was scratch built from one stick grenade and six egg grenades.

SS Machinegunner Winter

This is the machinegunner figure. The eastern front infantry coat has been added underneath his camo smock as well as the toque beneath the helmet. He has an extra knife tucked into the neck opening of his smock and the MG34 has a scratch built leather strap.

82nd AirBourne

This figure wears the 82nd airbourne uniform set. He carries several extra pouches and an extra ammo bandolier. He carries a bazooka via the shoulder strap and has several AT rounds in his backpack. He is armed with a thompson submachine gun with two magazines strapped together. The bazooka, thompson, and ankle knife are all equipt with custom leather straps. Hanging from the belt is a scratch built jump rope and his pockets have been stuffed for effect.
